Kyle was born May 16th, 1991 and grew up in Kamloops before moving to Calgary where he completed the 2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma from Mount Royal University in 2019. After graduating, Kyle worked at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Spa and one year later started at a clinic in Calgary. Then after completing the difficult process of transferring his RMT credential from Alberta to BC he moved to Kelowna in the spring of 2022 and has been working at Balance Point Acupuncture ever since.

As an RMT who understands how trauma, thoughts and beliefs increase the sensitivity of the nervous system and result in increased pain and tension, Kyle strives to create a calming, safe and judgment free space where his clients can relax and discuss anything. With the desire to deepen this understanding and positively impact his clients he has taken a number of additional courses. These include Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and most recently Pain Reprocessing Therapy.

Pain Reprocessing Therapy is a new highly effective way to treat chronic pain that was used in the Bolder Back Pain Study completed at Colorado University in 2018. It showed that misfiring neural pathways is what caused pain to become chronic and not structural issues in the people selected. In this study 66% of patients were pain free or nearly pain free and 98% had significant improvements after 8 PRT sessions over 1 month. With most results being stable at a one year follow up. The methods used in PRT work to correct these neural pathways by educating clients on what pain is, how the signals get mistaken and gathering both circumstantial and experiential proof that rewires the danger the brain places on these signals.

Kyle’s massage treatments are a unique blend of clinical massage, educational conversation and effective homecare with a touch of spa elements. Such as a hot towel and using a heated neck pillow to help relieve your neck tension. When it comes to pressure, Kyle prefers to find a happy medium that is enough to be effective while still being relaxing. However he is 6’2” and has been rock climbing for 17 years so if you want more pressure all you need to do is ask. Kyle has also had a number of physical issues himself including knee pain, back pain, shoulder dislocations, and forearm pain. After healing his own pain issues he gained even more understanding of the body and an ability to better relate to how hard it is to be limited by pain.

So if you’re looking for a uniquely relaxing and therapeutic treatment from a positive and understanding RMT that is customized to your preferences and goals Kyle is the RMT for you.

Growing up in a few different environments – from Germany to Manitoba, ending in West Kelowna, BC, – Evelyn has had her share of experiences within cultures and lifestyles. Since her early teenage years, she was inspired to help people through manual therapy, which led her to the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC, graduating in 2017. She has subsequently remained and practiced in this region. Once graduated as a Massage Therapist, Evelyn realized that her desire for deeper knowledge within human anatomy and physiology had merely begun. She continued her educational growth through one-on-one training with experienced therapists, taking a series of courses focused on the nervous system, and further developed her training by entering the Canadian school of Osteopathy where she is currently pursuing her fourth and final year. Evelyn believes that the body functions as one dynamic unit, meaning that it needs to be approached in its entirety, not in sectional areas of pain.

When her patients see her for a treatment, she would like them to bring flexible clothing to help facilitate a full body assessment and customize their treatment according to her findings. She usually works without oil, using an osteopathic approach where she incorporates her knowledge and skill-set from school.
